As a collaborative platform, the Impact Catalyst board is made up of representatives from various partner organisations, such as the Minerals Council South Africa, Industrial Development Corporation, Sasol, CSIR and Kudumane Manganese Resources. The Impact Catalyst board plays a vital role in ensuring that the organisation achieves its mission, complies with relevant laws, and operates efficiently and ethically.

Dr Rakesh Mohanlal

Chief Financial and Operations Officer

Dr Rakesh Mohanlal brings extensive expertise in corporate governance, financial management, and risk mitigation. He holds a PhD in Finance, an MBA in Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, an Advanced Diploma in Organisational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Commerce.

MzilaI Mthenjane is the CEO of the Minerals Council South Africa. He was previously the Executive Head for Stakeholder Affairs at Exxaro Resources Limited. He has more than 30 years’ combined experience in the resources business (Gold, Platinum and Coal) and investment banking (Corporate and Project Finance).

As Executive Vice President for Human Resources and Stakeholder Relations, Charlotte Mokoena is responsible for the design of global strategies, policies and frameworks that enable the organisation to attract, develop and retain key talent.

With more than 15 years of experience in the private and non-profit sector, Maike leads socio-economic development for Anglo American. Previously she was the Head of the Anglo American Foundation, a rapidly expanding corporate fund in the field of long-term socio-economic development, which is focused on empowering youth to create a greener fairer future.
